I’m Madly in Love with another Man’s Wife

Have you ever fallen in love with your neighbour’s or anyone else’s wife? Ever felt like there is no other girl in the world but a woman who is already married? Have you ever slept and all you dream about is the lady with kids staying next door? Have you ever wished a man was dead just for you to take over his wife? Well, this is my story and you just have to be interested…
Patricia is my colleague at The Summons Magazine. There is no doubt in my mind that she is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever met, and I have often wondered the reason her husband doesn’t treat her with much respect as I would. Perhaps, that is one of the reasons I can’t sleep a night without seeing her in my dream. Each time I’m alone, I imagine what she’s doing with her husband at the moment. There are moments when I would want nothing more than to pick up my phone and dial her number. Just to ask her one of those stupid questions a man always asks a woman when he loves her but can neither have her nor speak of it to her. This morning, when she came to work, she looked grim. She’s tall and slender. She’s about 5ft6. Her long ebony-black hair, flown over her shoulders, matched her glossy dark skin. She wore an inch above-knee gown under a yellow jacket, and with almost no face make-up. Behind her gloomy countenance, I still saw beauty without comparison. She would always smile at me – that smile that always makes me happy all day, and which I usually feel more jealous about when I see her smile at someone else. But today she didn’t. And it broke my heart. I thought of how she spent her night with her husband and why she wasn’t looking so cheerful. I went over to her. ‘You don’t look..’ ‘I’m fine, thank you.’ She said before I could finish. Maybe she didn’t start the day on a proper footing with her husband. Why would men not treat their wives as they should when many other men out there would do anything just to have them? I wondered.
When it was noon, I offered to go and pick her two kids from school. That was not the first day I did that.
