Five v@g!n@ facts 99% of people don’t know

People actually have limited knowledge of the vagina – as an organ for sexual intercourse, for reproduction (during birth) or as an excretory organ for passing urine and the ‘other’ fluids.
Every sexually active adult knows what a vagina is and every women by default does too.
But many people actually have limited knowledge of the vagina – as an organ for sexual intercourse, for reproduction (during birth) or as an excretory organ for passing urine and the ‘other’ fluids. Sexy woman play
Wha’anda, on Pulse, discusses the vagina, from the sexual organ perspective, and we’ll be going really deep and intimate.
Here are five things the average person does not know about the vagina:
1. The vagina may or may not have a hymen – the hymen is a thin skin tissue that partly covers the vaginal opening, located about 1 to 2 cm inside the vagina. It is believed that every woman is a virgin until her hymen has been broken. But not everyone has a hymen in the first place. Health experts say some women don’t have it at all while some have their broken during strenuous exercise, accident, hormonal activity or sex.
2. The vagina is not a visible external sex organ – many people think that the vagina is the part of the female genitalia they see when looking at a naked woman’s under-zones. This is wrong because the actual ‘vagina’ is a tube that connects the vaginal opening to the cervix. As a matter of fact, what you see externally is only the VULVA, an opening to the vagina itself. The vulva has the vaginal and urethral opening, the clitoris (labia majora, labia minora).
3. The vagina expands to accommodate the penis size – the vulva, down to the vagina itself is muscular and very sensitive. This elasticity allows it to expand during sex, allowing the same vagina to accommodate different penis sizes which all fit snugly. It is said that the vagina can expand up to 10 to 20 cm in length and 2.5 inches during penetration. Even where a penis is initially too large, the vagina will gradually expand enough to let it fit, except where the penis in question is abnormally large or the vagina is dry and too much force is applied.
4. The inner wall of the vagina has sensitive ridges – if you feel inside the vaginal wall, you’ll notice that it is lined muscular ridges that make it look like corrugated sheets used in roofing houses. These ridges play a role in stimulation during intercourse as the penis rubs over it.
5. The vagina self-lubricates – in normal circumstances, the vagina will produce its own fluid as soon as the woman is sufficiently lubricated. When she feels aroused, special glands called the Bartholin’s glands, immediately starts producing the fluids that keep her moist and ready for intercourse. This means that there is actually no need for lubricants or lubricated condoms. But some women experience dryness in their vaginal opening. If it happens too frequently, it may need the attention of a doctor because it is not normal.
