Nwokoye beat the likes of Aisha Lawal, Bimbo Oshin, Sheyi Ashekun to win the award.

The actress took to Instagram to share the news. Expressing her excitement, she wrote;

The movie stars Nwokoye alongside Chigozie Atuanya, Ebube Nwagbo, and Ebele Okaro-Onyiuke. It was produced by Chigozie Atuanya, and directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka. The world premiere of the Igbo language production took place on July 25, 2014, at the inaugural World Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture, which was held at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, Virginia.
